Who Can Join BSE Credit Union
BSE Credit Union is a full-service financial institution that provides a variety of products and services to our members. We offer savings and checking accounts, second mortgage or home equity loans, auto loans, credit cards, competitive rates and friendly service along with multiple ways for members to access their accounts. You are eligible to join the credit union if you live, work, attend church or school in Berea, Middleburg Heights, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township or Brook Park. Membership also extends to your immediate family members.

WHAT IS A CREDIT UNION?
Since all credit unions share the philosophy of "People Helping People,” the credit union’s primary purpose is to help its members with their finances, unlike banks that are in business to make money. At a credit union, every member is equal no matter how much money they have in their account.

A credit union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, which means that it is owned by the people who use it. Those people who use it are called member-owners, because when you join a credit union, you become part owner.

A credit union is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and any member-owner of the credit union can run for a seat on the Board.

Credit unions also take the time to help their member-owners become better-educated consumers of financial services. BSE Credit Union offers credit counseling to all members to try to make sure a solid financial future is available to everyone.

Our purpose is to help members enjoy a good life by providing them a positive incentive to save and manager their finances.  It's part of our philosophy of "people helping people."
